Strangers, again

Chanced upon this video on a random site and i thought it would be good to share it with my friends...

I think this video is a good reminder for us not to take our partner for granted.

Thankful for...

This is one of things that I'm very thankful for - good food with benben/and his family :)

Dunno since when Benben has been a fan of special deals websites such as deal.com, groupon, shiokdeal...etc and he's always on a lookout for food deals!! Now, i think he has a collection of it!
So this was one of the deals that he bought- 50% off for a meal in Tony Romas' ribs.

That's photography, capture the moment.

We love corn, so much that it had became our prop :/

Lunch at Zhou's kitchen.
These are some of the must-try dishes!
Salted egg with fry fish skin
Zhou's eegg tarts
Got some cupcakes from the dessert.cup
My verdict : Doesn't taste as good as it looks

Gong Cha ftw!

Last tuesday, benben came down to accompany me for lunch and followed by sour sally for dessert :) Can't be happier!
So again, he got a 50% off voucher for this. If i remember correctly, it costs $9.80 for the large cup but sold it at the price of $4.80. Seeeeeeee! I told you, he has a whole collection of vouchers and it's only for food! hahaha

This afternoon, we had seafood platter for 2 (ok, no vouchers for this)
He wanted to eat some "hao liao" before he goes for his wisdom tooth extraction tomorrow :(

That's all! Have a blessed week ahead! Good night :D

Yuping in da house!
Hey yo what's up peeps! I'm feeeling on so tired and lazy on this hot hot hot humid Saturday. Ben is in camp now and i have nowhere to go. And, i guess everywhere is packed with people because it's the first weekend after GREAT SINGAPORE SALES started.

So here am i, rotting infront of my computer and feeling very irritated by the drilling noise from the lift upgrading! I understand that they are doing their job but ARGH! It's freaking Saturday and i need peace!

Too close to comfort - Disturbia!

Let's share the love

Seriously people! We need to show some love and stop being so self-centered.
Hello, isn't is so hard to allow people to come out of the train before you go in? Why must u block the way? We must come out first in order for you to go in right?

Well recently, i stumbled upon this article on yahoo news which i find it so FUNNY! Hahaha. A HSBC temp guy (he wore a HSBC lanyard) was snapped and his photo was being put up in the internet because he refused to give up the RESERVED seat for an old uncle. The best thing was the internet-savvy uncle posted the photo on his fb and went on to wrote a letter of complain to the company that he is/was working. Quite OMG right? Lesson to be learnt: Beside avoiding to sit on the reserved seat, never never wear your company lanyard around. Who knows you might be the next one to be on somebody's facebook page uh?
No wonder, the taiwanese translate facebook as 'Fei Si Bu Ke'

Okay, enough of my RA RARARA.
Going to sleep. Good night earthlings!

My simple pleasure
Hello everybody!

How have your week been? I hope yours wasn't as "SIAN" as mine :( Ok, part from those after-work/weekends chill-out sessions with love ones, the rest have been quite mundane.

Had always wanted to try out the Arteastiq cafe in Mandarin Gallery after seeing so many pretty pictures over the net. Been and Seen! The interior design and ambiance are a great place to chill your time away.

Conet- mildly sweetened rose tea with lycee ice cream.

The ice-cream really perks up the taste by quite abit :D

Chocolate cakes w green tea oozing out. Nice but not fab

Lychee Tea (Hot) - A sweet nice fruity flavored tea
Overall, it was a good therapeutic session to be sitting down in a quiet spot of the cafe, savouring the exquisite tea and enjoying the view of the bustling city outside the full length window. This is how life should be!

First Time in Singapore History
82 out of 87 seats are being contested and it seems that the opposition parties are gaining more attention/popularity than the PAP.

What does this show? In my opinion, it means that

1) People in Singapore (i wouldn't say all but most of them, especially the middle and lower income groups) are unhappy with the current ruling of PAP and the policies that have implemented.

2) The candidates from opposition parties are made of people with high-calibre (not just academically), which therefore provided people with a glimpse of hope.

Chen Show Mao

Ivan Yeo Tiong Boon

Managing Director of an international investment company
Graduated from Nanyang University with Bachelor of Arts
Served in the Singapore Civil Service from June 1971 to March 1994 as a senior officer
Moved into the private sector and has extensive business investment experience in China

And of course two of personal favourites
Chiam See Tong

One of the most dedicated leader that i ever seen. At his age, he can choose to enjoy his life and not being involved in this draining political game but yet he chose to continue on his belief, despite of his health problem. My utmost respect to Mr Chiam.

Nichole Seah
The youngest and the most prominent candidate in GE 2011. A very outstanding/charismatic public speaker that never fail to impress and aroused people with her speeches.

3) Moving on to my next point.
The power of new media. It's not difficult to realize that news coverage for the oppositions on national TV wasn't extensive. With the rise of new media, many of us are able gather as much information/news/videos in just a click away.

Here are some of my favorite videos on the GE 2011:

Let's rewind....
I'm sorting out a massive piles of photo that were labelled as 'random' in computer.
It was a terrible mistake! I admit that i was lazy so i dumped everything in a single folder and over the years the photos have been accumulating and remained unsorted.
Well, I know i have to start somewhere.....so i went through it one by one and a lot images started streaming out in my mind.

It was just like yesterday.

Our very first photo together, even before we are tgt.

Our first date after we go on steady! Don't laugh , it was the 'in' term in my times
You know what, the very first time i went out with him, i fell down in the theatre and almost tossed out all the popcorns.

Can't rmb when was this taken, maybe 2008?
